Moonmaid came out of a really personal place. After several dead ends and a PCOS diagnosis, my endocrinologist handed me a sheet of paper with words that read “seed cycling.” The idea initially almost made me laugh. I had been on birth control for years and struggled to get my cycle back—and the idea that some seeds could help me get it back seemed foolish. But once I started seed cycling consistently and committed to other cycle supportive habits, things began to shift. My cycle returned, my intense cramping softened, my skin calmed down, and PMS felt more manageable. It wasn’t a miracle—but it was meaningful.

I started sharing it with friends, and they noticed it too. The main issue they ran into was how it translated day-to-day—most of them were just eating the plain seeds, choking it down like birdseed (which made it hard to stay consistent). When my best friend said, “I wish this existed as a readily made, actually delicious treat,” it clicked.

That same day, I double knotted my apron and started prototyping what became Moonmaid: organic, low-sugar seed butters designed to turn this stale ritual into something you actually look forward to. The recipes are rooted in my own hormone health journey and supported by research, with added ingredients like maca, coconut butter, cinnamon, and cardamom to make them feel both functional and a little indulgent.

Moonmaid is made for women who want to support their hormones without overcomplicating everything—but it’s also just really good (and good for everyone). It’s soft, grounding, a little ritualistic, and something you actually crave. The women’s health space can feel so clinical and overwhelming—Moonmaid felt like a good answer to that.

What is Seed Cycling?

Seed cycling is a gentle, food-based practice that uses specific seeds during the two main phases of your menstrual cycle to support hormonal balance naturally.
